Bamboo at Midnight

In Japan the bamboo is considered to be the most versatile of plants. Its uses are myriad in architecture, art, functional tools, artist tools, and foods to name some of its many uses.

Bamboo in the textile arts is a favorite motif. It is one of the plants that symbolize three friends. Our Bamboo is stitched in the traditional Rozashi stitches. The piece is inspired by a motif from a Noh robe.

The ro (canvas) comes attached to the frame with the design in place.

The threads are Rozashi gold metallic and silk threads.

A Rozashi needle will be provided.
