Course Description Iris Pool A Study in Rozashi
The small piece is a study in the basics of Rozashi. The student will be shown how to handle the threads, pinging and threading, and the use of the metallic threads.
The iris blossoms are worked in satin and ichi dan stitches. The water lines are worked in the line stitch, a variation of ichi dan straight.
The background is worked in a blue/green silk in the ni dan step stitch.
All stitches are traditional to Rozashi. The kit comes complete with threads, ro attached to the frame, needles, yamatonori and an illustrated instruction booklet.
